Absolutely wonderful experience. From out of town, we asked 5 locals for good seafood and can you believe they all said Jo Klassens. You can't go wrong with this place if you are craving the world's best Fish and Chips. We all can't wait to return.
I have to pull out my laptop( which I rarely do on vacation ) and put forth my 2 cents worth...12 of us ate here Wednesday night and all agree that it was superb...both service and food!!! We're only in town for one more night and guess what, we're eating at Jo's. This place is a
Ate here last night and are we glad we did The building is not the most attractive from the outside, but had asked some locals for a good restaurant and they HIGHLY reccommended Jo Klassen's. They were bang on. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the food was fantastic. We had Halibut, Cajun Snapper, a Super Jo Burger (wow) and an Asian Chicken Ceasar. All of it was fresh, hot and very delicioous. The decor inside is simple, tasteful and cozy. We even heard two other tables commenting on how good their food was. We will definately make this our place whenever we are in town. To the owners, you should franchise your concept, we need you in Prince George.
This place is wonderful! Attentive service, great daily specials and delicious comfort-style food. Even the side salads served there are fantastic, everything is so fresh and crisp. Best beef dip sandwich I've ever had.
Quanity in portion is above and beyond. great staff and management, I realy debated writeing a review....in fears of never finding a free table again! I have on many occasions while in a busiy work week eaten 2-3 times a day there and never once grew tired of the food or its people. lastly above everything else that I find matters with restaurants consistance.
It's a small place, but is super busy and popular with the local residents (a good sign!). Very clean, very friendly service. Come dinner time, the staff is hopping and it might get a little slowed down (again, popular with the locals), but they are always striving to provide quality service, and the owner is more than happy to serve customers alongside her staff. The food quality is excellent-- made fresh to order, piping hot. Not too many drink choices, but an extensive and varied menu, with the best fish and chips on the West Coast. Cost is on the low side of moderate. Specials every night, and all you can eat fish and chips. Air conditioned indoor dining, plus patio. Take out also available, but remember to call ahead.
